Planning application for residential-led development.
OVERVIEW
We invite you to review and comment on our proposals for the residential-led development in the order of 875 dwellings, together with a local centre including small scale retail/community/care facilities, highways infrastructure and open space, on land at Barretts Lane Farm, Balsall Common.
The land is currently identified as a Draft Allocation for development in the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council Local Plan.
Our proposals will contribute towards addressing the local and wider need for market, affordable and retirement accommodation and the associated infrastructure to support this growth at a highly sustainable location.

Provision of a section of the Balsall Common Relief Road;

Provision of a range of housing (1-4 bedrooms) to meet the needs and expectations of first-time buyers, families, affordable occupiers (40%) and the elderly;

A comprehensive network of accessible footpaths and cycleways, integrated with the existing public rights of way across the site;

Retention and enhancement of the vast majority of the existing vegetation groups across the site including the hedgerow network and woodlands; and

Provision of areas for drainage and attenuation that will contribute to biodiversity enhancement.
